Building of residential apartments. Rehabilitation.
Explanation of the project:
My task was to design a residential building. The goal was to reuse as many existing walls as possible, respect the original typology as much as possible while introducing minimal necessary changes to suit modern times. The project aimed to create one housing unit on the upper floor, while preserving the façade as much as possible.
My role in the project:
In this project, I was the lead designer. I was responsible for site visits to conduct surveys and take photographs, complemented by the official survey. I defined the entire project and handled subsequent adjustments with the structural engineer. After the project was defined, it was submitted for approval to the city commission until it was approved. I then created the preliminary design, coordinating with all the involved specialties.
Software:
AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Excel, and Word were used for the project.
